Aziz Ansari’s New Show “Masters of None” is Awesome!

If Aziz was asked to describe his own show, I bet he would say “it’s dope”.

I’ve been a huge fan of Aziz since Parks and Recreation. Actually scratch that, I think I saw his stand up special on cable a little bit before that time.

I really enjoyed it when he talks about hanging out with Kanye West and R. Kelly. I’ve seen him talk about it during two different stand-up specials. Here’s a clip from quite a few years where he discusses it with David Letterman.

There is something really fresh about Aziz. He seems to have his finger on the pulse of pop culture and especially what people in their 20’s and 30’s are going through.

His show “Masters of None” covers the struggle of what young adulthood is like after college.

Life is rough when you are paying off student loan debt, trying to get a job, while also doing your best to meet a life partner. This is a real struggle for people in their 20’s and 30’s. I think Aziz is the first person to do such a good job capturing this tough and exciting part of life.

He also shows what it is like having immigrant parents.

My grandparents were immigrants so I can just sort of relate. I love seeing the point of view he shows as a child of an immigrant. The coolest thing about this is that he actually has his real mom and dad on the show as his parents.

I love this clip with his father…

I am so impressed with all of the Netflix originals. This was a smart move on their part. It is what differentiates there service from other similar streaming movie servies. This is right up there with Narcos. It’s so solid and entertaining.

My only complaint? There are only 10 episodes. I can’t wait for season 2!
