This is probably one of the more awkward moments in recent TV history.
Last night Steve Harvey mistakenly announced Miss Colombia as the winner of Miss Universe.
A few moments go by and then he comes out on the stage and says this:
“I have to apologize. The first runner-up is Colombia.”
“Miss Universe 2105 is Philippines!”
The video of this will make you cringe:
They have to remove the crown from Miss Colombia’s head and place it onto the head of Miss Philippines.
This must have been a serious let down for Miss Colombia.
Anyway…congrats to Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach: Miss Universe 2015.
Note: This year, the other 77 contestants had a say in who ended up with the crown. People at home also voted for their favorite from home by placing votes on the Miss Universe website.
